Road and rail
Scope Australia’s reputation for delivering innovative and robust solutions for road and rail projects is evidenced through the repeat business we enjoy with our clients. Much of our work has centred around our clients selecting us to undertake particularly complex and ‘front-end’ project works that requires us to leverage our experience and ability to analyse requirements and select solution options that quickly translate to optimal outcomes to be taken into more detailed design.
This is achieved through our engineers and designers balancing design criteria and ruling grades, vertical and horizontal geometry, earthworks design and mass-haul analysis, and hydrology and associated drainage structures. This approach enables us to not only develop CAPEX effective solutions, but equally take into account (subject to project development criteria) long term operational and network effectiveness.
We have worked on a range of large and complex rail, road and transport logistics assignments covering the following key elements:
- Long haul rail and roads across a range of terrain types with complex hydrological characteristics and associated catchment analysis
- Rail sidings
- Public and private haul and access roads
- Pavement design
- Major drainage structures
- Highly complex marshalling yards
- Communications and signalling
- Freight rail
