Gullen Solar Farm

Location: Gullen Range, Bannister, NSW
Duration: Aug 2016 – Mar 2017

The Gullen Solar Farm comprises the development of a 10–11MW solar photovoltaic (PV) power plant.  The project is co‐located within the existing Gullen Range Wind Farm precinct and occupies an area of approximately 30 – 50 hectares. Scope Australia was engaged by the Decmil Balance Joint Venture (DBJV) to provide the following engineering services.

  • Project/ Design/ Engineering management, including:
    • Coordinating and scheduling delivery of design elements
    • Technical review of all design documentation
  • Civil design services, including:
    • Design of all internal roads, including pavement design specification
    • Drainage design and erosion control plans
    • Site detailed earthworks design
    • Geotechnical report review & deficiencies assessment
  • Structural design services, including:
    • PV support structure – third party review and certification
    • Footing design for all power combiner boxes (PCB’s)
    • Fence and gate design
    • Slab design for the maintenance shed also undertook a review of the shed design
  • Construction support services
  • Document control services throughout the design phase of the project
